The first observation of Lesser Yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) in Ukraine. - M.N. Gavrilyuk, O.O. Riznyk, A.O. Alabina, D.A. Buzovska. - Berkut. 32 (1-2). 2023. - Lesser Yellowlegs in Europe is a rare vagrant species. During December 3–6, 2023, a young bird was observed in Cherkasy on the coast of the Kremenchuk Reservoir (Dnipro River) (49.449° N, 32.078° E). Every day, the bird actively fed by chiromonid’s larvae. The daytime temperature during these days ranged from +5 °C to –2 °C. This is the first observation of the species in Ukraine and the easternmost find of the species in continental Europe. [Ukrainian].
